I forwarded this post to the North Florida Great Pyrenees Club.  It was
turned over to their resuce person in that area.  This person drove a total
of 300 miles round trip to deal with the dog.  The end result is that the
dog now has a new home with someone who already has two Pyrs and would like
to have more some day (??? <g>)  So, happy ending.  I would like to suggest
that whenever this kind of post appears that it be forwarded to the nearest
GPCA affliated club rescue (this info can be found on the GPCA website
http://clubs.akc.org/gpca/) and/or be sent to
the GPCA national rescue coordinator at gpcarescue@netscape.net.
