You're right, Cindy, it's not that great.  I was trying to find the old
emails that referenced the Continental Kennel Club (think I got the name
right), but I can't find them right off.  Seems this organisation will
register ANY type of dog, not just AKC recognised pure breds, but things
like cockapoos.  Also their registration procedure is pretty laxed from
what I remember.

So, I hope that this is a real basset pup.
