Hi Sandy
I've seen some severe parrot mouths in collies.  And there is a local canine 
dental specialist who worked on those pups.  I know  no one who ever put 
braces on such a mouth, that is a new one.  What was done in these twos cases 
was, the teeth hitting the upper gums and palat, were kind of cut off and 
filed down.  They never had any problem.  I guess there could be all kinds of 
maloccusions, but that is how every one of these cases were handled.
