Re: [pyrnet] Re:Help with unhappy pyr

Sue, are you able to get her out much, like around town or to a park.
Things that will give her something to focus on and occupy her mind right
now? Anything to break the focus on the old habit of marking territory.
Allow her a single pee break and then keep her moving and her mind off
marking territory when she is out. Trying to change her focus and old
habits and let her know that marking all over is not acceptable in all
circumstances. I think this is a tough habit to break, and will take
some time. Some crate training may help too, forcing her to hold, go out
and void completely, rather than having enough to mark with.

How did she act in obedience class? Obviously she did well, but what was
she like around the other dogs? Animated, enjoying herself? Is there
anything that she shows real happiness at, or does she appear to just not
be enjoying life at all? Cindy
