We were having an accident problem with Bear (4yr old rescue)  everynight, 
and especially if we slept a little late.  We were going to buy a crate, but 
decided to put in a doggie-door.  It was the BEST thing we ever did.  No more 
accidents and he comes and goes as he pleases.  We just try to keep him in 
past 11pm  because of the barking.  It was a wonderful solution for us and 
our little cocker loves it too!
