If I remember correctly, rawhides from some countries other than
the USA can be processed with toxic chemicals (although I believe
even USA rawhides are bleached :-/) but the US rawhides are
safer. However, I don't give rawhides to my dogs. They get raw
beef marrow bones to chew on.
