Re: [pyrnet] Ahhh, the dog food debate!

Hello Everyone;
I finally found a food that works for my dogs after nearly a year of
searching. When Iams changed the formula my Beagles started to girdle trees,
eat shrubs, and I swear graze on anything green, not to mention the black
coats on the beagles turning orange. My vet told me that Beagle digestive
systems are pretty well understood since they are the research dog of choice
with laboratorys.
It has been well documented over the years that the Beagles do better on
natural mineral supplements rather than synthetics. My vets theory is that
the copper and iron supplements are not in useable form for the beagles. He
recommended a food called Premium Edge (the top of the line food made by the
people at Diamond). It is better in ingredients than IAMS and Eukanuba. And
I don't know about your dogs but mine are all loving the taste. They have a
chicken and a lamb formula. Supplements are second to none. I am not having
to add anything.

check out the ingredients and supplements on their website:

P.S. Cleanup even with the Pyrs is a breeze. Coats are wonderful, and best
yet my young male who was ALWAYS hungry eating 7 cups of IAMS, now is happy
with 6 cups of this and sometimes leaves some in the bowl. In short, gone is
that horrible adolescent hunger crisis we always seemed to go through with
fast growing males.
His weight is great, he is muscled, not fat. Lots of energy.

Our beagle bitch just whelped 12 & 14 oz pups on this. I'm used to tinys I
sometimes have to bottlefeed. These were up on their legs walking
before their eyes were open. All very strong and vigorous.
