Good Luck with Gus... the best thing you can do is have alot of patience and 
reward reward , reward.... A few suggestions to help him gain weight and want 
to eat ~ add peanut butter, yogurt , sour cream, cottage cheese, bacon grease 
<not alot, it won't take much! > ... or maybe even a supplement such as NUPRO 
or Premium edge.... And most of all socialize as much as possible and bring a 
box of treats to reward good behavior !! Talk to you soon!
