This week end the Danish pyr club held it's annual speciality,
and for the very first time it was a double show. At saturday it was the
speciality and at sunday an ordianary club show, and for me both days were very
big succeses.
At Saturday the judge Mr. Millemann from France had an
entry of 59 pyrs from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany and Holland.
Unfortunately it was raining like h... all saturday and the show was outdoors,
but nothing could take away my pleasure in the show. Mr. Millemann
made my bitch Ch Sandybear's Esibelle Best Opposite Sex and Best of Breed nr. 3.
Best in show and Best of Breed was ch Vi'skaly's Eddie
Asterion. Eddie is a son of my male ch Sandybear's Saki and the father of my
latest litter, so for me that was a very popular win.
Best of breed nr. 2 was Sandybear's Garonne, a son of Saki and
Esibelle
Best of breed nr.4 was ch Vi'skaly's X-Ray Teik
Best of breed nr. 5 was ch Sandybear's Eros, as litter brother
of Esibelle
Both days both my breeding group and Saki's group of offspring
had prize of honour, and especially Saki's group I was very proud
of.
An other great point for me was that a litter brother of
Esibelle and Eros was showed for the first time, since he was a baby. I have not
seen him since he was 5 month (they are now 4), so that was very exciting. Apart
from being very overweight, he was as good looking as I had hoped when I sold
him, and did great to be placed 3. in open class.
At sunday with Danish judge Jørgen Hansen Esibelle was best of
breed. Best of opposite sex was ch Vi'skaly's Fabian Sirius Do-Ca.
That win was really a bit of a laugh, because Fabian who is
normally mr. Perfect Manners in a showring was so taken with Esibelle's charm
that he could not concentrate on anything else, and did not show his normally
good movement, and the judge gave him every change, first the male was running
first, but he kept turning around, then we tried with Esibelle in the front, but
that did not work out either, as she does not run as fast as Fabian, so he kept
getting too close and she would turn around and try to flirt with him. Then we
tried to run side by side, but that was no good either. Trying to stack them
face to face was no good either, so in the end both handlers and the judge was
laughing. It was such a nice moment at a level where people are often too
tense to really enjoy the moment. The funny thing is that Fabian has meet
plenty of other bitches in the ring with out behaving like that, and Esibelle is
spayed so should not have been so interesting, but they have been allowed to say
hello to each other at a couple of other shows and has always liked each
other.
