Barb, your story reminds me of when I watch movies or TV shows with human
predators wandering around in a house. You notice there is seldom a dog
at hand ( much less six :-) ). I'm always saying, if you people had a
dog
( or six ) in your house, you would know what was going on! I've thought
about that with children being abducted from their homes at night too!
Nothing like your own personal burglar alert laying on the kids bed!
People who are really intent check things out and prepare for the dog, of
course. But it has to make things harder. In our case six times harder
to get past the mouth, and five times harder to get past the dog! :-)
That said, I don't ever want my dogs hurt, stuff is not nearly as
important as living beings. But I do get frustrated watching these
programs or news stories without a canine warning system in place! LOL!
