I think that everyone who loves dogs MUST begin to take a tougher stand
against dog aggression. The issue of dog attacks and bites is getting
more and more serious each year in the U.S. Many people are maimed and
killed, plus those of us who have reliable dogs in our care are going
to be penalized by restrictive laws if we don't get this problem in
hand. I cannot imagine allowing my children to love all over a big male
Pyr of unknown background that had just tried to bite me a few minutes
earlier.
Really, there are so many healthy dogs in the world that need
"rescuing" that I basically have a zero tolerance attitude toward any
type of aggression. It really made an impact with me, Linda, when you
pointed out that the number one health issue among male Pyrs in the
ongoing GPCA survey is "aggression."
