[pyrnet] Re: [parent] The Spokane dog and rescue

You will get no argument from me here Cyn. I had a women come to my house about three years ago to see Shadow she wanted to buy a pyr from the women I bought Shadow from she had her little girl of about 3 or 4 years old with her .This child tried to kick Shadow in the face while he was sleeping the mother just looked at her and never said a word I had to tell her no that's not nice don't do that. I bet it wasn't 5 minutes later this child picked up a pencil and was going to poke it into Shadows eye .I let out such a bellow Its a wonder the neighbor a mile up the road didn't hear me. I was so angry that the mother seen this but did nothing to stop this child .I asked them to leave and I didn't care if I was rude. Because if Shadow had bitten that child they would have wanted him destroyed . I'm so glad the breeder refused to sell these people a pup but look how often this happens every day .This is why kids today are so mean and hateful. Parents don't take the time to teach them respect for others and what's wrong or right .Nothing in this life is perfect unless your Linda Joe Katie and what's her face the one you want to niggle lol I would hate to have one of them in judgment of me when they are the biggest offenders .Know what else I really in all honesty think their pyrs aren't anything to brag about they look to much like a kauvaz to me and to hear them all talk about aggression the temperament of one also.

Peggy, this is what I get upset about.  I am a firm believer that when a
dog bites, there is a reason.  We owe it to the dog to find out why.
Like the Saint that killed the kid, was killed right away, and then they
found out there was a pencil driven through its ear into it's brain, and
it reacted.  It wouldn't need to do much to kill a child, but it was in
agony when driven to this point.  Doesn't make the whole thing any
better, but at least there was a reason.  We have gotten into so many
arguments on this list because of these peoples attitudes.  To them if a
dog bites, it must be put down.  I want to know why it bit first, and I
don't think it makes it a confirmed biter.  I think they deserve respect
for their history when it is humans who mess them up in the first place.
Your story absolutely proves my point.  I remember you saying how careful
you are with her and cautious because of that past, but you gave her the
chance.  As she gains security in your love, she continues to better.
Most dogs deserve that chance.  Fewer people are willing to give it!   I
just don't think it so easy to condemn these animals.  Cyn
