I've heard of so many Pyrs that would just take the shock and go.
However, I've had several reports of dogs (not just Pyrs) that somehow
associated the shock/pain with danger and would attack anyone who came
across that line (these dogs had never shown any signs of agression
before).  Is there anyway that you can fence the dog in the back of the
property away from the road.  Livestock fencing can be very good and not
terribly expensive.  Good Luck
