Some of my Pyrs have tended to grow coat from late puppyhood to adult hood.  These are the ones that lose that puppy fluff earlier and at 9/10 months have little coat.  By 2 the coat is nice and thick with length whre it should be. Others have the heavier coats from day one. I know which I prefer!  Young Albert here has a huge puppy coat, hard to groom and I find all sorts of things living in there, twigs, leaves, dirt, camellias and it makes for hard work.  Puffin at nearly 2 is starting to coat up quite nicely. A quick flick with the brush over a wresting match with a comb is far more preferable!
