Some of my Pyrs have tended to grow coat from late puppyhood
to adult hood. These are the ones that lose that puppy fluff earlier and
at 9/10 months have little coat. By 2 the coat is nice and thick with
length whre it should be. Others have the heavier coats from day one. I know
which I prefer! Young Albert here has a huge puppy coat, hard to groom and
I find all sorts of things living in there, twigs, leaves, dirt, camellias and
it makes for hard work. Puffin at nearly 2 is starting to coat up quite
nicely. A quick flick with the brush over a wresting match with a comb is far
more preferable!
