   I'm not an expert, but I have to agree with Roger.  I don't even
like the idea of debarking
surgery.
  One of my fears is that it would stiffle the Pyr instinct for
guarding, by limiting the signals it sends other dogs and predators in
its barking.  There are all kinds of messages in the barking,
hostility, playfulness, friendliness and stay-the-heck away.  The
others read these signals clearly.
