[pyrnet] Newman
LOL !!! this is
too funny ! these Pyrs. are like the way that My Mother
used to say about children ! If everything gets too quiet, then,
You better
go see what is going on , or what they"ve gotten in to !
If nothing else in My life, these Pyrs. have taught Me and Hubby to be
very
neat ! The dogs know that anything on the floor is theirs !
Anything ,
however, that is on a table, or at least 3 feet off the floor, is not to
be
touched <BG>~~but, right now , I have another puppy, so, this
"rule" doesn't
always work real good ! LOL !
Pamc
Gee...how on earth did you TEACH him that "3-foot" rule? I
wanna KNOW! Give, give!
I'm laughing at
this just thinking of it. What type of clothing was Newman
snatching? Maybe he is a doghouse transvestite LOL. If you
see him in a
bra and panties stumbling along in your heels I'd love a copy of
the
picture.

Eyew. I can just picture it!
I had a call at just before 4.00am
from Jeanette Hargreaves whose =
brother has one of my pups. She had just received a call from the RCMP
=
in Prince Albert to say that Claude had been closed in a backyard by
=
some wonderful people who had even fed this ravenous pup. Lance has gone
=
to pick him up and it appears he is in good shape.

I'm delighted that Claude was found, safe and sound. I'm sure Geraldine
is much relieved. I hope that if Newman ever gets out, people will know
him well enough to know where he belongs. Larry walks him all over the
neighborhood all the time, and people throw such a fit over him...seems
everyone knows him. He takes him out and people come up to him and
say, "Oh! That must be Newman! I've heard about him!" And of
course, we have our name and address on his tag. But it's the cars you
worry about the most!
How very wonderful! What a relief.
Been out of the loop a few days as my 7
year old son and myself were involved in a car wreck Saturday afternoon.
The
other driver is at fault and may have been impaired (if you know what
I
mean?) at the time of the accident. Due to my sense of self preservation
and
some real luck no one was really seriously hurt. My son has a huge
hematoma
on his jaw and cheek were he struck the padded chest restraint of
his
booster seat. I have horrible bruising and I feel like I have been
beaten
from head to toe. But it could have been much worse. The other driver
walked
away with a stiff neck. I feel very lucky.

Thank goodness you and your son weren't hurt badly! I HATE drunk drivers!
My son stopped a couple of years back to help a woman whose car had
stalled, and while they were pushing the car out of the way, they were
both hit by a drunk driver in a truck who was doing 70 mph! Her back was
broken and she'll never walk again (in fact , she's almost paralyzed from
the waist down) and both of his legs were crushed below the knee. After
two major surgeries, he now has more metal than bone in his legs, but he
can walk. He hurts all the time, but at least he CAN walk. He's only 22.
The woman is 32. Two lives--one changed forever, one virtually ruined
completely. Just because some *&&!#!@ couldn't stay away
from the booze and thought he could drive. The man was already driving
without a drivers' license because he'd lost it with his DUI...no
insurance. He was living in his brother's garage. Lovely, huh? What did
he get? 6 years probation and a $1,000 fine. Oh...and 6 months community
service. Lovely system we have, huh?
BTW, on a lighter note, Newman is now big enough that he can sit on the
couch. Literally. He backs up and SITS, with his front feet on the floor.
When he wants to be petted, he backs up to me and sits in my lap!
