i've been sufficiently warned! not only did i stop giving mel the rimadyl, but after reading what i did and hearing what all of you have to say i'm calling the vet monday morning and talking about getting my money refunded for the drug. i dont really think she'll give it back to me but she is going to get a piece of my mind for not informing me of all the potentially dangerous and life threatening side effects.  i think she had an obligation to do that and discuss alternative drugs/therapies with me.
   as for mel, he's being kept on a short lead, as quiet as possible and for this week he is staying with my bf and not in my house.  he'll keep an eye in him, the rain wont affect his yard coz its got very good drainage and he wont have the other dogs around to get him going. besides, mel ADORES spending time alone with "dad" as an only child.
