SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - How much is that doggie in the window? If it's a
descendant of the San Francisco attack dog that went wild and mauled a young
woman to death in her own apartment building, it will cost $1,200.

So-called "Dog-O-War" puppies, described as the grandchildren of the Canary
Island fighting dog which killed San Francisco lacrosse coach Diane Whipple
in a horrific January attack, were advertised in Sunday's Los Angeles Times,
described as "bad to the bone, protective and stable."

The San Francisco Chronicle, which reported the advertisement Friday, said
the seven puppies were being sold for $1,200 apiece.
