Jen, we looked at Pergo and I know a lot of people who have dogs also have
Pergo and like it. When it came down to the colours, texture, and price,
we chose Mannington brand. The one we chose (can't remember the name but
if you're interested I can get the details) was a bit cheaper than the
Pergo, had the same warrenty, and has a feel and texture that appeared to
be more natural. The Pergo seemed to be a bit too glossy and slick with 5
large dogs to run over. It was put in last March and to date we haven't
had a single bit of problem. So far, no scratches from dog nails, no
stains from an accident or spilled water.

I just swept up the mud and leaves that were tracked in last night (hubby
had the dogs out while I was teaching, and brought them in WITHOUT
brushing!!!). I really should go over it with a damp mop, but just don't
feel like it right now. I'm thinking of getting one of those Swiffer
thingys -- do any of you folks use one of those? I'm afraid I'll get one
and it won't do a good job and I'll be disappointed.
