I feed Nutro Large Breed Puppy.  I've heard raves about it from several other folks, but I don't have other experience to compare it to.  She eats it well and there are not copious amounts of doggy doo to deal with.  She's 9 months old, has been eating it since 8 weeks, and is beautiful.

Subject: [pyrnet] Introduction and question

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jill Allred and I live in Hanceville, Alabama with my husband, 5 Boxers, and a new Pyr pup. We've been owned by Boxers for 11 years, we show in confirmation and do Boxer rescue. And although Boxers are my first love we found a 5 week old Pyr in the road, long story short, we found the person who bred the litter and ended up keeping the little man. So I'm VERY new to the breed and I'm looking forward to learning from all of you.

I have been told that Pyr pups need a food with less protein since they are a large breed. I'd like to get advice on what food would be best for him. I've been feeding him Canidae since it is for all life stages is has less protein than most puppy foods and about the same as Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy. What have most of you found to be best for Pyr pups?

Thanks,
Jill
