RE: [pyrnet] Help
Our male pyr use to be food aggressive. Because of this we always fed him
in a crate. There are plenty of toys and cow hooves laying around, but
we've never had a major problem with aggression over them. We have 5 large
dogs in the house at one time. Our TM was the most persistent. If Baron
was chewing on a hoof, she would lay inches from his nose, hoping to get a
chance to get it away from him. Only once when she was a young pup did he
give a fearsome growl/bark in her direction (he never bit her). She jumped
back, surprised, but went right back to him. This time, however, she did
keep a LITTLE bit more distance.
While there to supervise, I would try leaving a LOT of toys out for the
dogs. If you have to leave her alone for any lenght of time, I would crate
her or the other dog, or both. That way, they can have their own favourite
toy without having to compete.
