RE: [pyrnet] Weather

that way they get used to it and tolerate it If you don't feed them do
they get used to being hungry? and don't think much about it. how do you
know what they're thinking? I learned that from a friend of mine who shows
Saint Bernards. Just because someone shows dogs certainly doesn't make
them an expert. That statement is proof. As long as I have
air conditioning...my dogs are welcome to enjoy it with me. As long as I
have a sofa they are welcome to enjoy that with me...as long as I have
breath they will have every possible comfort. What possible reason could I
have for not sharing these things with them? >>
Cat, I have to say that I think your argument was a little harsh.
I agreed with Caseys statement based on what I have found to be true for
myself. I have found that by not depending on air conditioning constantly, I
am not as miserable in the summer. I use my air conditioning as a tool to
fight the high humidity days in the summer. I also find that keeping my
house cooler in the winter (nightime temp 56 degrees), I get sick less often
and am more comfortable when I do go hiking or skiing. Oh yeah, Pico loves
those night time temps!
Without even knowing what kind of climate Casey lives in, you equate her
withholding air-conditioning with withholding food. I believe that a
responsible pet owner knows when their dog is in distress and would take
steps to alleviate it.
