RE: [pyrnet] 2 Pryenees Mountain Dogs Barking Away a Norwegian Brown Bear

Have you watched the other videos on this site?  (under Video)

The 8th one date 1960 shows two wolves getting into a sheep pen, and several Pyrs (mixes?) killing the wolves!  Never mind the dogs and wolves, the men are right in there among all the fighting, not with guns but with poles!  Then the dead wolves are then paraded through the village streets as the people cheer the Pyrs and the men!

Also, the 7th one title "history ..." shows postcard of Pyrs from the last 100 years - a great illustration of the discussion of the gene pool!  The variety among the Pyrs in Europe during that timeperiod is just amazing!

Still have several more to watch ... fascinating!

Really amazing video!  The dogs are just aggressive enough to make it
obvious to the bear that a retreat would be good, but do not antagonize the
bear into an attack.  The bear is not a sissy, s/he postures too, but all
move on to see another day on their one turf.  Thanks for posting this.
