Since these treats were recalled in 2007 and again on the list in 2008, I would personally be highly suspicious

keep us posted on how Kodiak is progressing.  So scary for our 4 legged family.

Kodiak has a slight intestinal obstruction he is not passing and the Vet can't identify what it is.

He is not vomiting like crazy so the vet think Kodi just needs help to pass it.

The ultrasound was not helpful.

Kodi is OK and the vet says he is no life or death danger but I still think the guy might be in over his head.

Kodi pretty much eats the same thing every day and does not have a hearty appetite at all

The most recent treats I bought him contain wheat bran and I have kind of been indulgent with them.

The other thing is that his serum sodium was a little low so he could have been better hydrated.

I think the bran might not be a good addition to the treat.

I am wondering how likely it is that he has an undigested chunk of one of these dog treats?

It is the apple cinnamon treats:

Wheat Flour, Wheat Bran, Chicken Fat (naturally preserved with mixed Tocopherols), Chicken, Dried Apples, Natural Cinnamon Flavor, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Cobalt Carbonate, Calcium Iodate, Sodium Selenite, Choline Chloride, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Calcium Pantothenate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement

He had to spend the night at the vet last night and again this evening.

I don't know what to suggest the vet do if he has no other information or suggestions. :(

I am going to bring one of the treats to the vet's office with me and see if this makes sense to the vet.

Thanks,

Christine
