I thought it would discuss very early origins of the Pyr. I mean, the notion that the Great Pyrenees Mountain dog develops the instinct to protect livestock because his/her hormones change since the dog is reared with the livestock at an early age is fairly intuitive. I suppose I expected a little more elaboration or depth from NatGeo.

Still, I appreciate how the PYr merely chases off an intruder and then directly returns to his master.

Sunday, Aug 8 at 9 o'clock on NATGEO tv they are doing a special on dogs and how wolves became dogs and the commercial mentioned how Pyrs becme protectors so I am assuming that means they are going to be including our Pyrs in the show. Just FYI.
