Dear Bea:
I wish you God-send as you part with your dear Arizona. Last September, I had to say goodbye to my heart, my dear Ginger dobergirl. She was 3 weeks short of turning 15. I have adopted many dogs over the years, but Ginger tore my heart out and still does. I still have a puppy mill Pyr, Coleene, who is 4 with her own multitude of health problems, and Pyr Bone, adopted from a shelter and now 3.5. They fill my heart, but cannot replace the specialness of Ginger. Arizona has been met at the Bridge by Brandy, Daki, Beau, Odie, Lila, Abby, Freddie, Ginger and Barney (okay, so I usually have 3 at a time. I'm down to 2 now). They are our reason for living and giving, and for going on. Know that your loss is felt by all.
