Subject: [great_pyrenees] Mom, Dad and 5 Pyr pups in Oklahoma - how you can
help
Dear Barb,
After seeing the note on the Pyr list yesterday, I emailed Doreen Thomas who
rescues Pyrs in Oklahoma. She had already been contacted by the shelter. She
is asking us to cross-post this request for help.
Beth Guislin in California
(our rescue Pyr came from Oklahoma)

> This wonderful family of Great Pyrenees and pyr mix pups were owner
> surrenders at the Noble, OK animal shelter. The Animal Control Officer
> reached
> out to rescue, trying to save this little family's life. He said the
> parents are calm, very sweet, and loving and the puppies are starved for
> affection.
> We sent out the plea for help and we were so fortunate to have a rescue in
> eastern OK offer to take on the whole family.
> (The little black puppy has been adopted, which leaves the Mom/Dad and the
> 5 white pups)
>
> Taking on seven more mouths to feed, not to mention the costs to
> spay/neuter/vet all of these dogs is a lo to ask of any rescue, much less
> a small one.
> We're committed to raising the funds to cover the vetting costs and to
> help cover some of the food costs as well. Carol has agreed to do her best
> to get
> them all adopted locally. We have a back up offer of help from a great
> rescue in Illinois, but there would be costs involved in getting them
> transported.
>
> All seven are scheduled for their vetting the week of March 29th, so just
> gives us one week to raise the money needed!
>
> We've got two ways you can help:
>
> (A) You can call the Spay/Neuter clinic directly and give them a credit
> card number over the phone to go toward the vetting costs for the Noble-7.
> The shelter contact information is listed below. Our contact at the
> SPAY OK Bixby location is "Robin".
>
> (B) We've set up a Chip-In fund where you can go and make your donation
> using your credit card/paypal account if this is your preference.
> The Chip-in link is listed below.
>
> ANY funds we may raise over and above what's needed for the immediate
> vetting for these dogs, will be used toward food/transportation
> and/or future vetting for this rescue.
>
> Thank you in advance for any help you can give. Even a few dollars will
> help us get closer to our $1000 goal. Please share this email with your
> army of animal lovers. This little family deserves a chance to know what
> it's like to be loved and cared for. Please help us get them on their way.
