You are new to the list, I assume - that topic was discussed the last half week
or so.
As every sane German I can`t stand Nazis. Most parties being rightist are
forbidden sooner or later.
But what I can`t stand too, is the
"We-are-American-heroes-and-have-no-faults(even not a single killed
Indian!!!)-but-the-Germans-are-evil-Nazis-for-all-times-and-must-be-shot"-mood.
Germans != Nazi - wether today or fifty years ago.
Nazi == German was half-true half a century ago, but isn`t true today.
The Third Reich was a EVILEVILEVILEVILEVIL!!!!!! thing, no when and but.
Nevertheless the people who learned most out of it ARE the Germans - and their
attitude is everything, but not a patriotic one - on the other hand, that is the
reason, why I would say "I`m proud to be a German!", but that`s a sentence you
shouldn`t mention before your boss, except you want to get fired.

You are right - in Germany, Hakenkreuze(in every form) are forbidden. If you
remember the game Wolfenstein was forbidden, too, because of the swastika,
though the game itself was anti-Nazi.
WolfensteinII is only allowed as a Hakenkreuz-free-version! So much to swastikas
and their allowance around here(which isn`t a bad fact;-).
Used to be a MP for few years I can say, that a soldier owning such a flag was
dismissed immediately and without honor from the Bundeswehr.

Nevertheless I`m very excited of WW and I`m looking forward to follow the path
of my grandpa who wasn`t a Nazi at all.

I hope I hurt noone,
