I intend it to be kind of like the Weird West goes in my games, you use
the natural "badness" of the situation, and show the evils that normal
humans can accomplish, then when things start to look really bad,
introduce elements that suggest a deeper evil, hint at that evil for a
bit so that everyone is good and scared imagining what it is, then
blindside them when things are as bad as they think they could possibly
be. I am a huge fan of the imagined evil, my imagination is always much
better at scaring me than an image in a movie.

I like the posts about this and the occult side so far, I think that a
German Werewolf unit would be quite cool, whether this was the result of
a n-word secret breeding program, or some sick science experiment, or
maybe even an obscure SS ritual. It would certainly be a great adventure
to run... hmmm, file that one for later...

I think that the U.S. super soldier would be fitting as well, I could
also see the Navajos being a neat inclusion (not simply as radio-men)

The SAS training center was a creepy castle in Scotland, there was an
excellent cseries on the History channel (also called the WAR channel by
my friends and I)here in Canada, called secret missions of the SAS, all
kinds of great stories, but Scotland and the dark secrets thereof, there
could be all kinds of special training involved maybe some druidic blood
ritual or what-have-you (NOTE I am talking here about the image of
druidic magic only, I know that Druidism is not really Blood-magic so
please no outraged replies from anyone for whom druidism is a sacred
thing, I mean no offence by it.)

This isn't really a fair statement, the Italian soldiers could have done
better if the entire command structure above them hadn't been
Mussolini's friends and relatives (not that he was a brilliant
strategist himself. Perhaps in the weird war they have integrated some
hedge magic, or perhaps there Mr. H. uses the Italians to test some of
his own fiendish devices.

The chi rules from the Weird West would work for the samurai families of
Japan if they were updated and toned down a bit.

The Van Doos are a Candian outfit that has never retreated from any
battle, and always go into battle kilted with pipers, they were called
the women from hell by the Germans.

That is a sick and evil idea. I love it. especially considering the
opinion of the Russian command of its foot soldiers, they wouldn't care
if they killed their own men, as long as it killed Germans too.

I like the idea of a little magic and special-ness, I am not advocating
the fireball casting commando that was talked about before. I think that
with the proper balance, some small abilities could enhance the game, it
certainly will make for better enemy units if they are monstrous
somehow.
