[werewolf] Full Moon Fever



For some reason I was tossing and turning last night thinking about
werewolf... was it a full moon? AROO!

Anyways, I'm relatively new to the game, been playing since about 100,
so some of what is below has probably already been discussed but...  I
also want to thank Richard for hosting this game that is a great
distraction at work and to the programmers who put it together
(rathkopf??).

How to speed the games along:

We should probably have a 24 hour max day/night (or variable at
setup).  To "autoclose" a day the person with the top votes would get
lynched... in the event of a tie a random person amongst the top vote
entries would die.  Same at night if there was indecision amongst the
wolves the top vote getter would get the ax... if no votes had been
cast a random non-werewolf would be murdered (same with mafia). 
Similarly a seer would info at random (except themselves), and angel
protect at random (including themselves). Lastly the illusionist would
disguise at random (except themselves) with a random in game role.

I don't think there are any other ways of ending the endless days and
nights effectively.  We could step up the nagger, but we do a good job
of that our selves :-)

Ideas for variations:

Priest/Conjurer:

Once a game a priest (good guy) could convert a werewolf/mafia to
being a villager and a conjurer (bad guy) could transform a villager
to a werewolf/mafia at night.  The selections would be made at random
from amongst the target population (you would specify werewolf or
mafia) but would not know who was transformed. These would be used in
tandem.

Crystal Ball/Shield:

Seer/angel ability passes to a random player each night (including
amongst the bad guys).

Shaman:

Can sacrifice a villager at night (at random) to reveal the identity
(to themselves only) of a werewolf.

Reserve power:

Night time actors can save their actions for another day. So Night 1
the wolves save their power, Night 2 the wolves can attempt to kill 2
(Though I'm sure this would be tricky programming).

Anonchat:

All chat is anonymous.

Random alias:

Aliases are randomly reassigned when the game starts.

But all these may be sleep deprived thoughts

OK, now I've got that off my chest... hey wait when did I grow all
that hair... must find new blood... AROO!
