I think that BNW is set to a contemporary Earth (don't know why, just
seems to be), so Sr. might be a little *too* senior to be still in
charge.

However, given how good a public speaker JFK was (if my memory serves
me), it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think that he took over
and made it a "popular" dictatorial state...

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for
your country!"

;)

JFK was also a big proponent of the space program, wasn't he? And
wasn't there something about a model... ;)

Maybe that model became the leader of a resistance movement...

Doing a little reading on the Web, I came across Trotsky's pamplet
on fascism. Granted, it must be read with salt firmly in hand, but
it does have some interesting points... One in particular is the
description of fascism as "a mass movement growing out of the
collapse of capitalism"...

So, when the markets crashed in 1929, the rather fledgling country
America suffered... At the time, JFK was 12. If the next few years
saw the rise of fascism and turned the country into a "state-run
business", JFK would have grown up heavily influenced by it.

Of course, given JFK's historical stance on equal rights, it could
also be that he never married Jackie nor joined the fascist government,
but in fact joined a sexy young model in forming an underground
movement, dedicated to the overthrow of his father's and brother's
evil deeds...
