An uncontrolled delta?  Sure, I'll agree to that.  I'm living
free, not under the thumb of a morally corrupt organization
which wants nothing less than total control of *all* humanity,
delta *and* reg...

A psychopath?  Sorry, you're wrong on that one.  I'm utterly
sane, more sane than those who would look away when they see
their neighbours hauled away in the night -- no explanation,
no justice, no rights...  Nothing but hoods in the night
using the DRA as a crude club to oppress freedom.

A wager of genecide?  Hmm... let's see... I want freedom
from oppression...  You want to remove all deltas, hunting
them down like animals.

And you call *me* a "wager of genecide"?  Look at your own
life, pal.  Look at your own life and know shame for what you
do.

A dupe of those who would overthrow our lawful government?
I'm nobody's dupe.  There comes a time when a government 
becomes so corrupt as to no longer serve the needs of the
people, and a revolution must come from the people to 
overthrow that government and set things right.

Let me ask you:  when was the last time America practiced 
democracy?  When was the last time a leader of the people
was chosen by the people, for the people?

The chaos and anarchy of the pre-DRA days?  Hmm.. let's see..

World War I.  World War II.  These were wars that started
long before deltas, and wars will continue long after the 
last delta was no longer around.  Regs are just as capable of
anarchy and chaos as deltas are;  it's not the capacity to
fly, the ability to run fast or to pick up several tons which
makes an anarchy or chaos, it is unjustified anger, unchecked
aggression, pitiful stupidity and a complacent people.

Welcome to America.  Watch your soul -- they want to "register"
it for better control.

Delta Prime started the war; Kennedy started the war.  The 
deltas are just trying to defend themselves from unjust 
persecution.  The destruction is a result of the government's
actions, not the deltas.  THEY are the ones that hunt through
your towns and cities, looking for anyone they can persecute.
WE are the ones running for our lives.

Let me guess:  that media footage didn't include the pictures
of the beating of Sissy DuMont, do they?  What, you've never
heard of it?  Sissy was a good friend of mine, maybe even a
bit more.

They came.  They "suspected" her of being a delta, because
she had been seen with me, a "suspected" delta.  They took her
away.

Her ravaged and torn corpse was supposed to be a sign to me,
a warning of things to come.

Sissy was no delta; she was a reg -- a regular person.  They
tortured her and killed her.

Her body was a sign, that was for sure.  Any doubts I had
about where I stood vanished in that instant.

Who's going to answer for that crime, Primer?  Huh?  WHO!?

Funny, how *that* incident didn't make the papers...

Don't get me started about scars, I have plenty of my own.  
Some deltas got out of hand, so all are punished?  Punish
the guilty, not an entire population.  What's next?  Some 
kid rips off a corner store, so you "register" and "process"
all kids?

Well, not nobody -- *we* regulate *them*.  The Defiance stands,
in part, to make sure that the atrocities the Primers cause
do not go unwatched and unpunished.

they were born different.  Think about your brothers and 
sisters, who are running for their lives because they refused
to be treated like criminals.

a criminal, because they made me a criminal by definition.

Did I do anything wrong?  Did I deserve to be treated like a
leper, a disease?

I don't hate regs for being regs, I hate people who don't
think, who let this happen, who turn a blind eye to the real
criminals.

Oh, so now I'm the "boogie man", am I?  The one who lurks
under the bed?  This would be laughable, if it weren't for

I don't want to break into your homes, I want to have a home
of my own, were I can feel safe from prying eyes and accusing
fingers.  I don't want your valuables, I want the right to 
earn my own valuables, without suspicious eyes ogling me
every move.

I don't want to threaten your family, I want a family of my
own, who will stand by me through whatever troubles I face,
rather than turning their backs on me and vilifying me because
I'm different.

Why?  Is it because I am the villian they make me to out to
be?  Is it for justice and for the better good?  

No.  It is because *they can*.  Delta Prime is a monster
which we let happen.  It is the worst face of humanity, the
gargantuan, blind hater, the sneering oppressor, the beast
whose favourite thrill is pulling the hopes away from those
they oppress, like pulling the wings from flies.

But make sure you don't give your name, or you might find
yourself being investigated, for "aiding and abetting" --
especially if they can't catch me (again).

If you see me on the street, you won't recognize me.  Is it
because of a disguise?  Nope.  It's because I look just like
you.  I'm not really all that different.  I grew up just like
you did, with hopes and dreams that they will never let me
have.

You have nothing to fear from me, but fear the smiling faces
of Delta Prime.
