From page 127 of the revised player's guide:

That is what I meant and believe I stated.  As I noted, you _could_ adapt 
the Parrying rules from DL/HoE if you wanted to for BNW

I think the concern from yesterday was that the Speedster's (Dodge + Speed 
bonus + Die Roll) wasn't sufficient to avoid the Goliath (Fighting + 
Strength bonus + Die Roll).  Although that chance was about 50/50.  Thus 
some folks thought the Speedster should get the typical BNW HTH skill-level 
bonus as well.

I think I showed yesterday how the chance of the Speedster getting hit after 
the Goliath broke his held action, tried to beat the Speedster at the 
subsequent tie-breaking roll, etc., actually gave the Speedster a much 
better chance of surviving.

And that, of course, assumes, that you're worried that each combat-based 
character must be _exactly_ balanced.
