[BNW] BNW background

Yeah I think we all have to agree with this. the background in BNW is
scetched out too lightly. When you actualy come to run a game you virtualy
have to make up the background for yourself! not supplying a starter
adventure with the main book was a big mistake in my opinon. A starter
adventer will usualy fill in the blanks of the background and help you to
understand how the author sees his world and the game working, but bugger me
backwards if im going to shell out for the gm screen just to get a
prewritten starter adventure!

Im sure all of us have at least a dozen differnt systems lying artound at
home its not workthign buying another one if the background consists of:

"right JFK became a dictator because of these super heros right! and then
these other super heros (thats you guys) decide to fight him ok?! but he has
this super army thing (size unspecified) that try to get you, so watch out!"

as GMs ;we need more detail, how big is DP? what is thier response
time/coverage? what will the average group of defiants try to do to fight
JFK? what is joe publics recation to a delta? etc etc

sure we have grown to expect some stuff to be released in supplmental books
but the main book should cover the background properly. If I was writing the
game (I would do it perfectly!) I wouldnt have put in archetypes for or
mentioned Evil Unlimited, the mafia, Vampires?!?!?!?(wtf is going on here?)
and triumph. Keep it simple to begin with defiants vs state, with a much
more detailed background. I like the concept of the background but I NEED
MORE DETIAL DAMIT SCOTTY!
