Yes, but Stracynski KNOWS the secret in his universe,
so he can shape his stories so that there won't be
future conflicts.

One last example of a failed attempt at this idea:

Remember Marvel's New Universe?  The writers were not
given the information behind what was going on.  Most
of the beginning stories had aliens, extra-dimensional
people, robots, etc.  Later when the secret was let
out all the titles with these themes had to be changed
to match the world view.  Most of them plummeted in
sales after that, and then the whole universe bottomed
out.  Did they need to release the secret at the
beginning? No, but the writers needed that
information.  In our case the players do not (nor have
I ever said) need that information.  The Guides do
need that information though.
