Re: [BNW] Bombers...and brawling
> First, he runs into the Deaders, well ahead of the other two and detonates an arm. He rolled 11, times his size of 6 is 66 damage. Divided by the deader size of 5 is dead Deaders.
> I havent got the book with bombers in, but what seems wrong here is the 'times by size' factor this would make a bomber 'bomb' far more powerfull than other weapons in the game since assuming that you go up againsts similar size targets you will be doing wounds = to your dice roll rather than wounds = to dice roll / size of target, since size of target is usualy about 5 thats 5 times more damage!!! this is made worse by the fact that one big hit is better than multiple little hits in the BNW system.
No, that's right, damage x size. The bomber only gets a couple hits (2
arms) before he starts being totally ineffectual. In contrast the blaster
can blast all day, everyday, and not break a sweat. So the bomber's power
is uped accordingly. It is, however, NOT armor piercing.
> isnt there some rules about area effect weapons and distance from expolsion point?
Yes, the bomber has a blast radius of 3 (IIRC) so at 3 inches damage is
halved, and at 6 inches it's quartered, at 9 inches + no damage is done.
However this isn't much help if the bomber runs up and gives you a big
hug.
