To each his own. In the short campaign I played in my bouncer uped a
couple skills, but in the first four adventures I raised his strength from
3 to 4 (ups damage potential, lifting abilities, wounds, and decreases the
odds of a bust dramatically) and his spirit from 2 to 3 (I wanted him to
ber very imposing, but didn't have the starting points to pump in spirit).
After those I was fairly happy with his stats and was going to concentrate
on skills for awhile (and maybe a trick or two), but the campaign ended.
