Using the templates in the book - Tough (RP, p138) and Armorgeddon Pilot
(BNW, p217) and Blaster (BNW, p66)

The herores are trying to find an unregistered Delta before DP does and have
broken into a real estate office to find the address of one of her aliases.
The Tough has been left outside to keep watch, and is leaning against a tree
smoking when an Armorgeddon Pilot flies around the corner and IDs him. They
start at 30" apart.

Both roll their raw Speed for Initiative:
The Tough rolls a 2, 3 and 5. His Initiative is 5 and he has 2 actions.
The Pilot rolls a 1, 3, 4, 5 and 9. His Initiative is 9 and he also has 2
actions.

First Actions, highest initiative first:

The Pilot can move his full Pace, but split over all of his actions. He
flies 20" closer, reducing his range modifier and stays in the air, where
the Tough may not be able to hit him.
He then fires his shoulder cannon at the Tough. (The Tough could, at this
point, attempt to Dodge, but being a Tough makes you cocky and overconfident
so he's going to smile and take it and not waste an action.)
His Target Number (TN) to hit is 5 + 2 (30"-20"moved=10"/RangeIncrement5=2)
= 7.
The cannon is an autofire weapon, with a RateOfFire (ROF) of 3. For
autofire, each round after the first gives you an additional die to roll and
each extra success on the highest roll is another round that hits (up to the
number of rounds that you fired, of course).
The cannon is ROF:3 so the Pilot rolls his Speed 5 + 2 extra dice and rolls
a 3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 5, 11. 11 + his shooting skill 5 = 16. He succeeds with
an extra success so the Tough takes 2 hits.
The first shot hits in the (4) torso. The cannon does 5d6+10 damage. The
Pilot rolls 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8. 8 + 10 = 18.
The second shot hits in the (6) head, giving 2 extra dice for damage. The
Pilot rolls 1, 3, 3, 4, 7, 9 and 10. 10 + 10 = 20.
The Tough has an Armor of 20/- so normally these hits wouldn't do anything
however the cannon has Armor Piercing rounds. They are AP5, which means
they ignore 5 points of the targets armor, so the Tough has an effective
Armor of 15/-.
The torso shot will not do anything
(18damage-15armor=3/5ToughsSize=LessThanOne).
The head shot will get through and do (20-15=5/5=) 1 wound level to the
head. Ouch!
The Tough doesn't want wound penalty modifiers so he spends one of his Delta
Points to negate the wound.

The Tough says "We've got company. Time for me to play Happy Hostess." into
his radio. He moves 3" to the closest car on the street - cover is a
beautiful thing - and pulls out his pistol - a Colt 2000 (15 round clip,
ROF1, RangeInc5, 5d6+5 Damage). It doesn't take any of his Action to speak,
but since he doesn't have Quick Draw, pulling and readying his gun is his
complete Action.

Second Actions:

The Pilot fires again.
The Tough has moved 3" further away so the Pilot's TN to hit is now 8,
before cover modifiers. "Target is hidden" is a +6 but target is half
covered behine a car and the Pilot is above him so I'd only assign it a +2
modifier, making the Pilot's TN to hit 10.
The Pilot rolls a 14+5(his skill)=19. Two shots hit again.
(2) Torso, 25 damage, doing 2 wounds (Why can't I roll like this when I'm
GMing?)
(3) Torso again, 19 damage, doing no wounds.
The Tough spends his last 2 Delta Points to negate the wounds.

The Tough fires at the Pilot. His pistol has the same range increment so he
needs an 8.
He rolls an 11+3(his skill)=14 and hits with an extra success but, since
none of his tricks apply to firearms, it goes for naught.
(3) Torso, 23 damage (and, again, why can't I roll like this when I'm
GMing?).
The Pilot's armor is 10/3, it takes 10 off of the damage roll and will
absorb 3 wounds (total per location, not each time he's hit). The Pilot is
a Size 5 and takes (23-10=13/5=) 2 wounds and they are absorbed by the
armor - which can now only absorb one more wound before the Pilot gets to
begin taking them.

Second Round:

Tough rolls 14 Initiative and gets 3 actions.
Pilot rolls 10 Initiative and gets 2 actions.

The Tough decided to try to take the Pilot out fast and activates his First
Move Trick - he sacrifices one action to take the rest right now.
He fires, still needing an 8, and rolls 5+3(skill)=8. He hits in the (6)
Head for 13 damage. No wounds.
He fires for his second action and rolls 10+3=13. He hits again. In the
(4) Torso for 21 damage or (21-10=11/5=) 2 wounds.
The suit absorbs 1 (making its 3 for the torso) and the second one gets
through to the Pilot, who has to make a Stun roll against a TN of
5+WoundPenaltyModifier1=6. The Pilot rolls an 8 and does not drop.

The Pilot now gets his two actions and will fire for both of them. His TN
to hit is now 10+1WoundPenalty=11.
First Action. He rolls an 11+5=16. Two hits.
(6) Head for 18 damage. No wounds.
(4) Torso for 15 damage. No wounds.
Second Action. Pilot rolls 5+5=10 and misses.

Third Action (and to bring things to an ugly ending):

The team's Blaster, who spent his first 2 actions moving out of the building
to help fires at the Pilot. A Blasters blast has a ROF of 3 so he decided
to fire all 3 at the Pilot.
He has a TN of (5+(10"Range/10RangeIncrement=1)=) 6 and rolls an
11+5(skill)=16. Two extra successes so all three shots hit.
A Blasters blasts bypass all non-natural/non-self armor - Blasters (Armor
5/-) get their armor against them but an Armorgeddon Power Suits armor is
ignored. This is where things get ugly.
(1) Leg for 21 damage, 4 wounds.
(3) Torso for 14 damage, 2 wounds
(6) Head for 23 damage, 4 wounds
The Pilot has a Strength of 3d6 and can take 3 wounds on each location.
He's already taken one to the Torso, so he's got 3 wounds in the Torso, 4 in
the leg and 4 in the head. And then still has to take falling damage. I
wonder what kind of death benefits his widow is entitled to . . .
