The Gadgeteer's armor item is a product of his power, not the power itself.
It is therefore ineffective against the blaster's blast.

Me and the Merc agree again. The Blaster's energy blast ignores the armor
abilities of the powered armor because the armor is not the delta power, the
creation and maintaining of the armor is the delta's power. I think that
Matt even posted something about this rule question recently.
