[BNW] Adventure writing help

Does anybody know of any places I can find a guide to help writing
roleplaying adventures. I've tried writing a few but they didn't seem to
work out quite right such as not leaving enough clues, and the power levels
of the enemies being far to low (a team of three finished the climactic
battle in one round, whilst one was having a nervous breakdown under a
nearby car). I've looked through the ripper but that wasn't much help.
