Hmmmm....... missed that connection (duh!)..... Actually got the thought from 
two sources : Captain America's energy shield from a few months back and a 
character from Golden Age Champions actually called Vangard.      Now i'll 
havta fight the Soviet guy fer the right to the name......rats!     heh heh
