As written I don't belive that is the intent of the trick. I would sugest a
new trick Shield throw (needs 2 extra sucesses or something like) or use the
shield attack and add 1 sucesses to project it out, but if this is the case
I would limit it to something like 15")

Just an idea off the top of my head, I don't have any books (for BNW) with
me now so this might not make sense. >>

I agree that this is not the intent of the trick. In the description it says
a sucessful "barehanded close combat attack" which makes me think that the
shield still stays close to the hero's body and is not projected in the
manner you describe. However, this is obviously open to interpretation.

I also agree with sraby@asymtek.com that this would be a possible trick to
develop on your own. It sounds pretty cool!

As an aside question, do people out there allow the Defender character to
attack through her shield while it is up with no penalty? It doesn't say she
can't attack through her shield in the rules, but I was just curious as to
how others handled this.

Thanks in advance,
Guide Matt
