[BNW] Random C2 Question

I was not working, but rather playing with making my own map of C2
(why I have no idea, but since it is laid out in this *nice* grid, it
is so easy...). I was reading the text to see how many Crescents and
how many streets, etc...

It says that going along the Crescents you get 6 blocks to a mile.
It also says that the city is "about 2 miles thick." However there
are only 10 Csts. (How is that abbreviated, btw?) Even plus
Bayshore Drive, and maybe something else on the outer edge, that's
only about 5 blocks to the mile.

I was under the impression that most cities are 10-12 blocks per
mile, making C2's blocks rather large.

Am I off-base in my understanding? Or is C2 home to really long
blocks? Or is this perfectly reasonable and I'm just basing my
mental picture on erroneous information?

According to the official map, of course.
