I did originally take that into account but according to my reference
material the .44 and . 50 do the same damage as many rifles the only
differance being range. For example the .50 does the same damage as a
Hecklar & Koch G-11 and one ranking in damage higher than the M-16A2 which
according to the rulebook does 6d6+5. If you like you could make the
following changes though put the .44 as a 5d6+10 and the .50 as 5d6+12 but i
personally feel these puts them a little too powerful if you go on pure
averages i.e if you assume (and i am no stats genius) that the average of a
d6 is 3.5 than the .50 is going to do 26 points using my original system or
29.5 using the 5d6+12 or 27.5 using your suggestion of 5d6+10. Admittedly
the chances of getting open ended die roles with an extra d6 increase but so
do the changes of getting anouther 1.

Again not according to my referance book but hey it could be wrong on that
point.
Oh and one final point i would make these pistols classed as two-handed
weapons with appropriate penalties for firing one handed. unless you had
sufficient strength (such as 6)
