[BNW] An On-Line Storyline Proposal

Okay, during and after GenCon, I got a chance to talk tot he various powers
that be (Matt Forbeck, Alderac). It doesn't look like the storyline of the
BNW setting will be advancing anytime soon. I've been working with the
Alderac folks on setting up the storyline for their upcoming Series Archer
game, and would like to see if its possible to implement the following:

A core group of folks in the BNW on-line community basically come up with a
story point from which we wish to proceed from. For example, it was
determined that Truth has been captured in the official story (as
established in The Covenant).

So our first story point is: Let's rescue Turth. And what happens to Truth
at the end?

The development team then design a relatively short adventure around this
point. It provides plot hooks to bring play groups in. It provides NPCs. It
provides the outline of the adventure itself, or as much detail as they want
to put into it. This is all compiled into a PDF and put on-line.

Anyone can download it and play it out. Also on-line, we then have a site
where it can be indicated which of three outcomes occurred. In this case,
the outcomes might be:

1) Truth is rescued

2) Truth remains imprisoned by the government

3) Truth is killed

(The adventure doesn't have to be Defiant-hero oriented, although it may be
simpler to run such story-adventures from that viewpoint, rather then to try
to provide alternatives for other types of PC groups.)

The results are tabulated and then the "winning" result is kept in mind.
The development group then takes another story element from the BNW sitting
and makes a story-adventure out of that. It may relate to Truth's final
fate, or that fate may be held off until later down the road. If the latter,
the next story-adventure could then be about, say, the fate of the
Bargainers' society/group. The third story-adventure might incorporate the
outcome of both the Truth and Bargainer stories into a new story, advancing
the BNW setting and contemporary timeline yet further.

And so on, and so on. If timed correctly, some of these could be done at
major conventions (or around time period of such conventions for those
unable to atend).

Alderac (who currently owns the BNW license) is okay with this. Matt
Forbeck is okay with this.

Would folks online here be interested?

And would there be folks who would be interested in being part of such a
development team?
