The adventure at the end, which you may not have got to yet, leaves open the 
possibility that she remains in prison, as I recall.

The main reason why it would be the Defiance who does it from an interactive 
storyline point-of-view would be because there are difficulties in trying to 
write an adventure that covers every viewpoint.

While I don't think a split "Defiance/Delta Prime" scenario would be 
workable here, we could poll an additional question to ask what is the 
nature of the PCs who participated in the adventure (i.e., are you Delta 
Prime, Defiance, Neutrals, Bargainers, Covenant, Angels, etc.?).  This would 
help to achieve something like what you suggest - if a majority of folks say 
their groups are "Neutral" we could incorporate something like what you 
suggest.
