THis is the hazard of abstracted damage.  I've always read it (and seen it 
implemented) to be 1 actual wound to 1 DP.  Not per hit.

Yeah, I know what you mean.  However, I don't even like it as it is.  From 
running other games (Fudge Deryni) where points can negate damage, it ends 
up with people either dead or unwounded.  And using points to prevent 
wounds is lame, compared to doing cool stuff.

So I changed the mechanic in my flavor of Fudge, and whenever I get to run 
BNW again, I am thinking of changing this one too.  I may just have it 
negate a wound for purposes of the rest of the damage mechanic, but your 
char still needs to feel the effects of taking a nasty blow but managing to 
survive it.
