First off, I don't intend to turn this into a slagging match. But I feel I must respond to Magicians comments.
The characters at Caiman City have all been created by members of this list. I think that in order to at least have some semblance of community we should respect each others ideas. I was not smoking anything when I did the art or came up with the characters - in fact I did Bugle Boy, the kid with the Horn, as an experiment in trying to capture a 40's / 50's style Delta. He sort of has that cocky innocence I tend to associate with Robin, Bucky or any kid side kick that originated in that time. As to my writing describing the characters I've had posted on the site, well those are my words. If you don't like them, just jump down to the bottom to read the stats.
Secondly, the map. Okay, it's amatuerish at best. Let's see you do better. I don't say that to get into a pissing match about who is the better artist or cartographer - I say that so you'll get involved. Arne very genouresly give us a space to put our creations on HIS site. Don't abuse that hospitality by criticising it - use the opportunity to promote this system we all obviously care about and enjoy enough to get involved in a public discussion like this list. I know I first really got involved enough in the system after looking at sites like the encaffinated one, Delta world and Steve Crows page - so use sites like Caiman City, Raven Triad, Total Defiance and Delta Conspiracy ( sorry if I missed anyone ) to get friends interested. We should support each others efforts, no matter how wacked out you thought the characters were, or even if ( and I'm swallowing my natural reaction to jump to my arts defence ) you don't like the art work on a site.
Finally, on this topic, Magician, while I have no problems with Freedom Force, and do sort of agree that there is a place for an X-men style team in BNW, I suggest you maybe write up the characters and submit them to Arne so we can actually see the end result. It's a bit hard from your posts to figure out what they're doing, who the characters are and even if the characters are likeable enough for us to enjoy them as they are meant to be.
Some-one out there asked ( murray wombat I think ) how to get involved with Caiman City. Simplicity in itself. Merely e-mail arne with your ideas, he'll respond and you guys n gals can hash out whatever it is you want to submit. I hope Arne doesn't think me too presumptious, but I presonally have put a fair bit of stuff on Caiman City and I would kind of like to see other members of the list get that same reaction when stuff goes up with their name on it.
