correct to an extent, but the constitution before the XXV Amendment which was not radified until 1967, did not establish procedures for a vacancy in the Vice Presidentcy. So, I doubt in the BNW timeline it ever got ratified.....

States Constitution. There it specificly states that
if the president dies then power devolves to the
Vice-President. So constitutionally you need a vice
president to recieve the powers if the president is no
