The newest DL offering, "Canyon o'Doom" is set during the summer of 1877, 
although it does say that if you don't want to set it then, don't. 
Personally, I'd use this.

At one time, as I remember, there was talk of doing a year update book every 
two years, and as ToT: 1877 was out two years ago, there may be a ToT: 1878 
out this GC or thereabouts.
